They Could Have Daaaaaaaaanced All Night!

The girls had their dance recital on Saturday. Such pretty dresses!

This year instead of each of them being in separate dances they both were in the same ones.
The whole show was very colorful with lots of great music!

Evening Picnic

It was so nice last Friday we thought it would be a great evening to take G and g for KFC in the park. Turned out to be a bigger party than planned!
We went to Silver Lake and after eating it was such a gorgeous evening we just went over and sat on one of those stone bridges. The weather must have put people in a good mood because they seemed to be happy even when having their pictures taken!

It Was A Sunny Sunday!

The day after Natalie's dance recital the kids came over and we had a hotdogs-over-the-campfire lunch with G and g.
It was plenty warm, I tell ya! Sitting down by the basketball court was pleasant but very bright!
They had their swim lessons in the afternoon...
...and by the time they were done I was wishing I could hop in the pool with them. I think it might've been a hun'ert degrees in there! (Well, maybe not quite!)

Princess To Athlete In The Blink Of An Eye!

Natalie had her dance recital a week or so ago.
"Videos" were prohibited...so I took stills! :)
But I think the camera was set wrong so the coloring is a little off.
A fine recital of which Harvey was just as proud as the rest of us!
Then last Friday we did our shopping for annuals at Houston's and got over to the track just in time to watch Miss N do her 400M run.
That girl's going places!
She was also in a couple of sack races.
I thought she looked like a jumping bean the way she just kept popping along! Good job, Nat!

A Saturday Morning With Claire And Cate

We had a lovely Saturday morning with the girls a couple Saturdays ago. Before it warmed up enough to be comfortable outside we had a little craft to do.
By then we were all ready to go take a walk with the babies. Well, Claire and Cate can't be called babies anymore but Madeline and Cuddles can!
Our window wells haven't started having toads in them so it's still fun to crawl down in there.
And the bridge hasn't collapsed yet so it's a fun attraction too.
But I see now, there's more than one project that needs to be taken care of this summer. Maybe next time the girls come over we can give them a paint brush!

The Athletes In Our Family

Grandma decided she should try what Natalie and Harvey were doing.
She wasn't having much luck until Jill told her to try it underhanded!
And today we saw bits and pieces of Natalie's track meet.
So there you have it...the oldster and the youngster at their athletic endeavors!

Catching Up...So Far!

I'm going back to Easter. Good grief! That's over a month ago already! Most of us got together out at Cher's. The kids and their kids...

Turned out to be a most gorgeous day!
We had a couple of 'sit opportunities in early May. Charlie was at his finest!
He liked trying out Jill's pop glass, which is almost as big as he is!
We had to do some stacking...
...and take a group photo.
On a trip to Mankato to deliver some donated goods we got to see the St. Pete K's. Missy Maya is FULL of energy!
Harvey graduated from his pre-school class...
...and got a diploma to prove it!
He had some very proud parents. I think Harvey's proud of THEM too!
Natalie's Spring program featured Spanish and Art.
Another chance for a family picture!
We went to one of Natalie's soccer games.
You would think in the middle of May that you could expect warmer weather.
Not!
And here we have our current...
...and future soccer star!

An Important Week

I just want to take a moment to acknowledge the teachers in our family during this Teacher Appreciation Week.

Kate, Mindy and Tricia...we love you and salute the work you do building the kids and young adults of tomorrow!

To Commemorate

We had a little party last night at Shorewood to celebrate Mom and Dad's first year there.
Of course we couldn't do it without acknowledging the weather the day they moved!

Surely You Remember!

Today is May 2nd. Right now I'm looking out on sun and almost blue sky. But when someone says "May 2nd" all I can think of is SNOW! Does this look familiar from one year ago?
15 inches of snow and the worst winter storm I'd ever driven in! Look at the tops of our neighbors pine trees...
...and their birch tree.
It was also the day that my sister was scrambling to find somebody, ANYbody to plow my folks' drive because that was the day they moved into Shorewood. A momentous day for a couple of reasons...and we'll never forget!

Where's Autocorrect When You Need It?!

Jill flew off to California last weekend so we texted back and forth quite a bit...maybe a little too quickly!

Dapper!

Charlie can be a pretty sharp dresser. Check it out!

Dear Blog Readers...

I thought I was getting a good start on the year keeping up with my blog. I need to think again! So I have a little catching up to do. I'll start here...
Claire has been a demon on her Rainbow Loom. She can whip a bracelet off in no time! And she's a great teacher. I learn better by doing and she's showed me how to make my favorite fishtail design.
Missy Cate has some pretty crazy 'dos some mornings when she wakes up. Here's one that I think even she thought was pretty wild!
