This Is So Me!

I came across this bumper sticker in the St. Mary's parking ramp one morning.

Today Was The Day!

Well, we didn't make it to the new Menards when they opened to the public for the first time this morning at 6:30 but once we got there we stayed for 2 1/2 hours just looking and checking things out.
Well, we did find a few things we didn't know we needed! ;) There were a lot of familiar faces from the old store but a lot of new ones too. We talked to some of the old-timers and learned it was 522 semi loads of product that got trucked in for stocking! I think it was a relief for them to finally be open because this one gal said she'd been putting in 68 hour weeks to get ready! Now, the Grand Opening is over Easter weekend so I bet there'll be some deals then. Should at least be coffee, don't you think?

Nothing's Too Good For Us :)

We gathered who we could for a Sunday lunch and decided to go somewhere different. The Food Court at Apache Mall!
In theory, it was a great idea. (Thanks, Jill!) We didn't have to have reservations for a relatively large group and people could pick whatever they wanted to eat. In reality, the eating choices have really dwindled but Grandma said they were happy to have everyone together like that. We went back to their place where we took a hike around the building that ends up being about a mile. It won't be long before it's dry enough to fly kites in the big soccer field we see out their north windows!
Back in the apartment we discovered turnabout is fair play. Jon gave an airplane ride to Harvey...
...so Harvey gave one to his dad!
After a couple games of Bingo and a round of Dominoes down in the "Bingo Room" (the lounge area connection between two sections of Shorewood) we got back to the apartment where it was being safely guarded upon our return!

Almost The Real Thing!

For anyone that likes to eat at Red Lobster you probably like those cheddar-garlic biscuits they have. The other day at Walmart we found these on a stand alone display.
They're pretty close to right out of the Red Lobster kitchen! I've tried a knock-off recipe before that wasn't all that great but I'll give these Five Stars!
