You've GOT To Be Kidding Me!

I always thought those People of Walmart emails originated down south somewhere...even farther south than Iowa. I was certain there weren't people at our Walmarts that were guilty of such dubious choices of fashion. I wish I'd had the guts to pull out my phone and take a picture of what we saw and in lieu of that I can only give an example. Yesterday as we cruised towards the back of the store Jill seemed quite taken by SOMEthing and when I asked what, she pointed out the lady in her pajamas! Truly, she was an otherwise "normal" looking lady, like someone who wouldn't be caught dead even answering the door in her pj's but here she was out shopping.

Once we got over that and worked our way to the produce section, there pranced a lady in her princess dress.

These pictures are not the exact people but the clothing styles are very similar to what they had on. Judging by them either I go shopping way overdressed or way underdressed!



Mother's Day A Day Late

I hope all the world's mothers had a great day yesterday! We celebrated with my mom...

...and those in the family two more generations down the line. We all gathered at Mom and Dad's new table we use for dining when entertaining a big crowd.

You see, they recently moved in to Shorewood Place and this is the activity room down the hall where there was much more room to move than in their new apartment.

Many of us did go back down there, though, for the remainder of the afternoon. The cousins spent some time together. Everyone loves to hold Charlie!

And Charlie liked being held! He seemed to be particularly happy when Harvey was rubbing his head.

It was fun family time on the day that all started with Mom!

"That's funny. Laur's not going to make it into the picture in time!"

"Oh, whoops. She did. Is all this posing for pictures what I have to look forward to?!"

"I guess it's not so bad. I'm having fun!"
